Chestnut Homes cyclists hit the road to raise funds for charity

Fourteen staff members from the developer, based in Langworth, near Lincoln, braved the elements to complete the ride from Lincoln to Chapel St Leonards and back.

The event, which was organised by local businesses, raised a total of £24,000 for Lives, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, and Men’s Sheds.

Among those taking part in the ride was Chestnut Homes Managing Director David Newton.

He said: “It was great to get the team out of the office and onto the roads to support three very worthwhile causes, and we all had a brilliant time.

“The rain certainly made things a bit more challenging, but I’m pleased to say that we all pulled together and successfully made it to the finish line.

“The bike ride was a wonderful event to be involved in, and we had some fantastic support from our colleagues who couldn’t take part, the other teams and volunteers.

“The three charities all do extremely important work and we’re delighted to have helped raise a significant sum of money to support their activities.”

The C2C2C challenge was established in 2011 to encourage more people to cycle, have some fun and raise money for charity.
