Fantasy Island have successful first season with lots of new and exciting experiences lined up for summer 2017

Following the company’s purchase in March 2016 by Mellors Group Fantasy Island Holdings Ltd, Fantasy Island had a very successful first season and are looking forward to introducing new and exciting experiences for customers as we open our doors on Saturday 18th March 2017!

Shortly after the purchase was completed in 2016, the theme park welcomed back extreme ride, G- Force; an exhilarating 50 meter tall thrill ride. ‘A blast from the past’ for returning park thrill seekers, the extreme ride captivated both old and new customers and has left Fantasy Fans waiting in anticipation for what additional exciting attractions are to come…

The Mellors were excited to announce significant investments plans to their customers back in November 2016. They have invested in excess of £3 Million in a number of BRAND NEW rides and attractions; ready for visitors to indulge in this season and for years to come! This significant investment includes attractions such as a multi-platform themed indoor mini golf course, an American style bowling alley and 6 NEW junior and family rides to enhance the overall Fantasy Island offering.

The Mellors Group pride themselves on exquisite presentation and were also thrilled to finally announce tremendous facelift to Europe’s largest 7-day market… Upgrades in product variation, site presentation and branding begun in winter 2016 with the aim of completion for March 2018.

Fantasy Island’s overall package fulfils every customer need; keeping tots, teens, parents and grandparents excited to visit.

Director of Finance, Claire Draper explained:

“The significant capital investment that we have committed this winter is the most the site has seen in nearly two decades. It is a huge undertaking with numerous projects to be completed in a short time-frame and we are excited to re-open and unveil the new Fantasy Island in March”.

Andy Mayne, Barclays Relationship Director supported the Mellors Group with the purchase last year and has worked with them over the winter to provide funding for the new rides. He commented saying:

“This new programme of investment will not disappoint visitors with plenty of exciting new rides for all ages. The Mellors Group is a well-managed and ambitious company creating jobs and supporting the local economy. We look forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength.”
