Lincolnshire Chamber golf day raises £1000

£1000 was raised at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce charity golf day at Belton Woods last week - all in aid of Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

This event was kindly sponsored by Soper BMW of Lincoln.

Local businesses including EBP, Siemens and Ruddocks came together creating 18 teams who went head to head to claim the winning title, and of course the sterling trophy which has been occupied by former winner Belton Woods for the last year.

But this year it was a victory triumph for Minster Surfacing who stole the show, winning at 108, and taking with them the chamber golf day trophy.

Results followed closely with Belton Woods/Forest Pines taking a joint second place and The Soper BMW team coming in third.

Alison Mackfall, Events Manager at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce – organiser of the day commented saying:

“Our golf days are a staple event in our Chamber calendar. They always go down so well and it’s been great having so many businesses turn out and contribute to raising funds for a truly cherished charity.

“Fortunately, It was a clear and crisp autumn day and the sun was shining which I’m sure helped the players demonstrate their best golfing skills, leading to very close results”.

A raffle and cake sale was also held to help bring in additional funds for the charity. This went down exceedingly well with some excellent prizes being handed out including a one night stay with breakfast at the White Hart Hotel, a family meal from pop up food truck Gourmazin, whiskey, Pipers Crisps and many more.

The Chamber would like to extend a huge thank you to all the teams who made a kind donation, and to Soper BMW for sponsoring this quality event.
