Lincolnshire Chamber raising funds for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance

The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce are very pleased to say that tickets are selling fast for our annual Charity Banquet taking place this year at Lincoln Minster school on the evening of 28 April – sponsored by Duncan & Toplis.

Every year the Chamber organise this special event for both members and non-members, and this year we will be raising funds for the terrific Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Service - a very cherished charity in our rural neck of the woods, and will be doing so with a Back to School theme.

Over the last 23 years, the brave rescue workers at the charity have carried out over 18,000 life threatening missions, and with up to three flights per day costing around £2,100, the charity requires £2.1million per year to continue their life saving work.

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce spoke about the upcoming event saying:

“Whilst the Chamber are a business support organisation, we are dedicated to recognising and supporting needs within the local community, and helping where we can.

“As such, we are delighted to be supporting a truly special charity who save hundreds of lives year on year through their courageous work.

“So come along and join us in celebrating their work at our ‘back to school’ dinner and disco and help us raise as much money as possible to support this cause.

“It’s a fantastic excuse to get dressed up and we look forward to seeing everyone on the evening”.

Guests will be treated to a retro feast of old school favourites including a trio of school dinner mains such as toad in the hole, shepherds pie, mac ‘n’ cheese, and ratatouille, all to be washed down with a classic Manchester tart and a 10p mix bag.

So dust off your shoes, iron your shirts, grab your school bag and come on down and join us for a very memorable school dinner, networking, dancing and help to raise money for this fantastic service.

There will also be a raffle on the night with some cool prizes up for grabs, helping us reach an even bigger total, and a guest speaker will be announced shortly. So bring your pocket money and let’s have a party.

Gold stars will be given to the best behaved tables, and we are currently taking music requests for disco dancing on the night.

Timetable: School starts at 7pm at the Prior Upper Building, Upper Lindum Street, Lincoln, LN2 5RW and is set to finish at 11pm (good job it isn’t a school night).

Tickets for members cost £55+ vat and tickets for non-members cost £75+ vat.

Alternatively a table of 10 costs £500+ vat (for members) and a table of 10 for non-members costs £700+ vat.
