For almost 50 years LIVES have been responding to 999 medical emergencies in Lincolnshire. LIVES has grown and developed from when it started out as a team of volunteer doctors attending road traffic collisions.
In 2019 LIVES has 700 volunteers, ranging from community first responders without a medical background through to a specialised band of doctors, nurses and paramedics who respond to around 18,000 medical emergencies every year. Our work literally saves lives and makes a difference to countless communities and families across our rural county.
Over the last four years the organisation has grown significantly, both in the impact that it makes in Lincolnshire and its profile across the county. We have diversified the way in which we generate income and appointed a professional and experienced senior team to lead the organisation.
After a recent board governance review to ensure that we have the structures and processes in place to continue to save lives in Lincolnshire for the next 50 years, we are looking to recruit a number of trustees to join our board from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience.
A trustee with a financial background is particularly sought although trustees with experience in other areas are also warmly welcome.
