International connections and national recognition reflect growth for telecoms company

Lincolnshire-based Genius Technology Solutions have been selected as one of only 100 small businesses across the UK to be part of Smallbiz 100, promoting the national Small Business Saturday campaign on 7th December.

The technology company has seen a year of tremendous growth leading to them growing their team and their area of operations due to some exciting developments.

Director Tony Smith said: “This really is exciting news for us and we’re thrilled to be recognised for our ongoing support for other small businesses across the UK. Our whole aim is to support other businesses improve their connectivity, communication and engagement and enable them to grow their own businesses.

“Despite the challenging economic climate during the last year we have been able to assimilate Network 500 - a local cabling company, which allows us to provide all our installation in-house and expand the range of solutions we could offer. This has led to us taking on new staff and opening a new office in Horncastle as well as trading from Grimsby and Lincoln, so to be selected as part of this national initiative really is the icing on the cake.”

But it has been the development of international partnerships by son & fellow director Ben Smith that has led to the greatest potential for growth in the future.

Ben, who has a wealth of knowledge & experience in telecommunications & wireless technology has created partnerships with international partners in Malta & Dubai leading to the deployment of Wi-fi in Dubai and across Europe from Bosnia to Poland.

In addition to the increased wifi activity though, the company have also won the contract to provide satellite broadband upgrades and new installations to customers throughout the North of England and across Germany on behalf of international provider bigblu via their partner Sat-Works.

Ben said: “It certainly is a busy time for us. Challenging, but exciting in equal measure with huge potential for the future, both for ourselves and our growing list of channel partners.”
