Course Delivery
ITOPS is a recognised International Trade Qualification covering the main elements of Export Administration. The course runs over four separate workshops, followed by an assessment. This course is accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce and successful candidates will receive the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.
The course covers the five main elements of export administration:
Administration Procedures
Export Documentation
Customs and Excise and other legal requirements
Export Payments
Dispatch and Shipping
Delegates attend four formal training workshops – usually once a fortnight/every three weeks. A formal assessment takes place approximately one month after the tuition ends. The evidence is then Internally Verified by an experienced assessor at the Chamber who decides if the required standards have been met.
Candidates have the opportunity to attend an airport visit at the DHL East Midlands Hub. Although optional, the feedback from this visit has proved that the experience is an invaluable part of the qualification.
The price includes training for four workshops, course folders and printed notes, full trainer support during the course of the programme, final assessment day, portfolio assessment and verification. Successful candidates also receive the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.

“The ITOPS course has given me the skills to enable me to follow the administration procedures and fulfil the legal requirements to successfully export our manufactured goods. I enjoyed the style of the course which was a combination of ‘face to face’ workshops, visits to forwarders and independent learning relevant to my job.
“With the current uncertainties of our future within the EU and the impact this will have on businesses who export goods I would certainly recommend this training.”
