Lincoln College Supporting the Care Sector with Protective Equipment

Lincoln College has donated its stores of protective equipment to the Lincolnshire Care Association to be distributed across care homes and home care services in the County.

The College works in partnership with many care providers via its Care College.

Lincoln College donated a large stock of face masks, gloves, aprons and alcohol wipes to the Association today.

Chief Exec of Walnut Care at Home and Chair of LinCA, Melanie Weatherly, said the donation will be used to help to address a critical need in the Care Sector.

“This is a heart-warming example of the partnership working between the care sector in Lincolnshire and Lincoln College,” she said.

“Thank you so much for thinking of us. We are looking forward to going back to co-designing innovative ways to support the highly skilled, committed workforce in our care homes and home care teams.”

Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland said: “We have a close relationship with care sector organisations through the development of our Care College.

“Heroic staff in the care sector are putting themselves at risk on a daily basis to care for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

“We hope this gesture goes some way to keeping some of those brave staff safe.

“Care and NHS staff are at the forefront of all of our minds at the moment and we thank them for their continued efforts.”
