Read MoreIn an effort to recognise the important contribution of our key workers in the fight against Coronavirus, Roythornes Private Client Department has extended its opening hours to cater for key workers or anyone else who would like to talk to them about making a Will, Lasting Power of Attorney or any other aspect of Estate planning and Probate.
The Roythornes specialist team will be available until 8pm each weekday night to answer questions, and help individuals ensure their affairs are in order. A time slot can also be reserved online through Roythornes’ website enquiry service.
Speaking about the initiative, Solicitor Ben Taylor said:
“It’s a sad fact that the current pandemic has made people think more about making a Will or putting in place a Lasting Power of Attorney. Whilst we hope as few people as possible are affected by the virus, we would always recommend people make a Will to help ensure what they want to happen to their estate can happen; and consider putting in place an LPA so that there is someone to look after them if they aren’t able to.
We realise that not everyone works 9-5 and in particular our brilliant ‘key workers’ who are keeping the country and our NHS running, who may be working shifts and extended hours. Our hope is that by being more flexible in when you can talk to us, and by offering the opportunity to have a real conversation with a member of our advisory team, we can be there for more people who need us at this difficult time.”
