New Peer Networks programme encourages Lincolnshire businesses to help each other grow

The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub is excited to announce its new Peer Networks programme for small-to-medium-sized businesses.

The national scheme, delivered locally by the Growth Hub, aims to encourage collaboration between Lincolnshire’s diverse cohort of SMEs and allow them to work together to solve the common issues their businesses face.

When presented with challenges and opportunities, many business owners and directors want to take advice from trusted sources or would like a sounding board for their ideas. Peer Networks are designed to meet this need, by providing a forum to work collaboratively through a range of business concerns.

Through interactivity and action learning, business leaders will join forces to tackle a range of mutual challenges and gain valuable feedback from like-minded individuals, supporting them to implement practical strategies that will help their businesses to grow. Guided by expert facilitators, these sessions will provide participants with the opportunity to create a trusted and supportive business network, one that will strengthen their organisation and improve their long-term performance.

The Peer Network cohorts will each be made up of between 8 and 11 SME business leaders and focus on a specific sector, including:

– High Growth
– Manufacturing
– General
– Rural
– Visitor Economy
– Charities
– Health and Care
– Agriculture

Additionally, there will be sub-groups within these sectors – with examples including young entrepreneurs and family businesses – meaning there will be a diverse spread of groups for business owners to get involved with.

The Peer Networks programme is available to SMEs that have at least five employees, have operated for over one year, and have a turnover of more than £100,000. They should also possess a desire to take their business to the next level, along with the motivation to seize opportunities as well as overcome challenges.

Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, said:

“It’s a difficult time for businesses, with owners and decision-makers facing a multitude of challenges.

“By taking part in the Peer Networks programme, businesses will be joining a trusted support network – one that will help them to overcome these challenges, grasp opportunities and improve their personal and business performance.”
