Read MoreWith 182 homes currently under construction, Ongo are showing no signs of slowing down our development plans in 2021, with a further 176 in the pipeline.
Despite the challenges faced by Ongo over the last 12 months, we have continued to deliver hundreds of homes for rent, sale and shared ownership.
Amongst our most ambitious sites for this year is 37 brand new homes at Station Road in Scunthorpe, 41 homes at Broadwater Drive in Doncaster and another site of 25 homes at White’s Wood Lane, Gainsborough.
Ongo flagship dementia care scheme in Scunthorpe, Myos House, is due for completion in the summer too. It’s the first of its kind in the area and offers those living with a dementia diagnosis the chance to live independently for as long as possible.
Remaining homes for outright sale at Corringham will also be completed, with similar sites being considered in a bid to offer opportunities to those wanting to get on the property ladder.
Martin Phillips, Development Project Manager at Ongo said: “Last year was our best year of building yet with 186 homes handed over in the 2020 calendar year, so to have another busy year planned is really exciting.
“Over the next ten years we not only aim to invest £83.1m into our existing homes, but also build a further 225 each year across the region.
“It’s great for us to listen to local demand, build much needed homes, involve local contractors and invest in our communities. To us that’s what it’s all about and we can’t wait to see the difference each home will make.”
Other large projects to keep an eye out for is the beginning of regeneration work at Ashtree Close in Belton, a further 187 new homes across two sites in Edenthorpe and Bessacarr in Doncaster and our first ever carbon neutral homes in Westcliff, Scunthorpe.
