Ongo’s annual Dine and Dance will be held on Wednesday 7 December at Heslam Park, Scunthorpe, for tenants over the age of 55 to spend time with friends and meet new people. It’s completely free of charge and includes lunch, transport and entertainment.
On 23 December at The Arc in Scunthorpe and on 15 December at The Viking Centre in Barton upon Humber, Christmas lunches will be held for those who would otherwise spend the festive period alone.
All Ongo retirement living homes across the region and Myos House, their dementia care scheme, will be decked out with Christmas activities planned in.
Marie Merrison, Community Regeneration Assistant at Ongo said: “We’re very excited to be offering a whole bunch of Christmas activities. Every year we seem to do more and more, and it’s great to see so many happy faces.
“Now more than ever it’s vital to our communities that we have free and affordable things to do, so we’re pleased we can contribute to that.
