Awards launched to recognise businesses going the extra mile

Lincoln BIG are thrilled to launch the GEM Awards for 2023. The awards will recognise Lincoln BIG members for high levels of customer service and those who go the extra mile for their customers.

The awards will be judged by an independent, specialised company, Storecheckers to ensure all participating businesses are judged fairly and equally.

Business will be judged in nine categories, with the judging taking place anonymously over August 2023. The categories include:

● Health, Beauty, and Wellness

● National Retailer

● Independent Retailer

● Food on the Go

● Restaurant

● Coffee Shop, Tea Room, and Café

● Bar, Club, and Late-Night Venue

● Professional Services

● Experience and Entertainment

Businesses are invited to choose which category they fit into and nominate themselves by emailing info@lincolnbig.co.uk before Friday 21st July.

Lincoln BIG’s Relationship & Operations Manager, Danielle, commented “The GEM Awards are a brilliant opportunity for all Lincoln BIG members. It enables us to celebrate and showcase those businesses that excel in customer service and provides the participating businesses with detailed feedback on their customer experience.

“We encourage all businesses to nominate themselves for the appropriate category, to be put forward for the independent judging. We look forward to championing our members at the awards evening in October where we can celebrate those shortlisted”.

Head of Operations, Lee added “It was really important to us that business assessments will be completely independent and impartial, with over 20 years’ industry experience, Storecheckers offer a credible and robust mystery shopper programme which has been used across many towns and cities”.

Shortlisted businesses will be invited to attend the awards evening (free admission), held on October 11th at Home Lincoln, from 6pm to celebrate their success and enjoy a drink reception with Canapés.
