Read MoreChristmas has come early thanks to a generous gift from Hales & Coultas Heating and Plumbing, who have kindly donated 70 mobile Wi-Fi dongles to ensure even more Ongo tenants can access services.
The dongles will be used to support Ongo’s digital remote offer, led by the Skills and Personal Development team. They provide vital support from mental health care and counselling to employment and training advice.
Over the last 12 months they’ve supported 516 people.
The digital remote offer aims to connect Ongo tenants who live in some of the most isolated areas, to ensure they can access the support of the team.
Pete Tedde, Employment Support and Life Coach Lead said: “Thanks to a very kind gesture from Hales & Coultas Heating and Plumbing, we can now provide our remote tenants with dongles and internet access.
“This means that we can begin to fully engage those that are unable to take transport to meet us in the office and provide them with counselling, employment related support and referrals to our internal housing teams.
“The Skills and Personal Development team has had a fantastic year to date and will now focus on ensuring that our digital remote offer is fully implemented across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire to reach out to some of our farthest-reaching tenants and offer our services.
“On this note, I would like to thank my team for their tremendous work and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
