Read MoreLincoln Business Club proudly celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a spectacular event held in the evening on the 17th May 2024, at the Charlotte House Hotel at the Lawn in Lincoln with nearly 120 attendees.
In honour of two decades of remarkable growth and achievement, members, partners, and friends came together for a night of celebrations with psychic readings, tarot card readings, dance classes, theatrical demonstrations and of course, a bit of magic by Lincoln magician, Scott Perry, who helped reveal the new chair.
Reflecting on the momentous occasion, Nicola Ellwood, the outgoing Chair of Lincoln Business Club, shared her sentiments:
“As we celebrated our 20th anniversary, we were reminded of the incredible journey we’ve shared as a community of business leaders and entrepreneurs in Lincolnshire. This event was a testament to our collective triumphs and the enduring spirit of collaboration that defines us.”
The success of the event was made possible through partnerships and sponsorships with Stokes, Fizzco, The Lincoln Distillery, eComOne, Austen Hempstead, Wright Vigar, Business Bollox, Optimum Safety, Ruddocks, Make An Entrance, Petaurum HR, Uptech Ltd and Sheila Stamp – Travel Counsellors.
In a captivating moment during the event, Nicola Ellwood, alongside Vice-Chair Mark Jarvis, announced stepping down after five years of dedicated service. Thanks to a bit of magic, the role of Chair passed to Robert Drury with Rachael Hunt stepping in as Vice Chair.
Nicola Ellwood, reflecting on her tenure, remarked:
“Stepping down as Chair has been a bittersweet moment for me. I’ve cherished every moment leading this incredible club and look forward to seeing it thrive under Robert’s leadership.”
Robert Drury, expressing his enthusiasm as the new Chair, proclaimed:
“What a pleasure and privilege it was to be part of the wonderful Lincoln Business Club 20th birthday celebrations on Friday night at Charlotte House – how amazing was it to see all of our wonderful community out for the night and I just want to say how proud I am of our committee for pulling together what I believe will be remembered as one of the nights of the year for so many.
And then there was that announcement! What an honour it is to become the new Chair of Lincoln Business Club, taking over from the irreplaceable Nicola Ellwood. I have been a member of this club for over 5 years now and I love how we as a community support, encourage and champion each other. It is the people that come to our monthly meetings that make this club so special and I look forward to working with my wonderful new vice-chair, Rachael Hunt, in taking the club onwards into a bright and wonderful future.”
