A New Beginning at 50: Opening of New Hegarty Bourne Office to celebrate 50th Anniversary

Local solicitor firm, Hegarty (www.hegarty.co.uk) has announced it will open its new office in Bourne, Lincolnshire later this month. It will be the firm’s fifth office in the region and adds to the list of its existing locations in Peterborough, Market Deeping, Oakham, and Stamford.

The new office, located at 11a North Street, Bourne PE10 9AE, is set to officially open its doors on 21st October 2024.

The opening of the firm’s Bourne office marks a significant milestone, with the company celebrating its 50th anniversary in October, expanding the company’s number of offices to five in exactly 50 years - and adding a rather satisfying synergy to the opening celebrations.

Hegarty will be welcoming residents of Bourne and the surrounding areas to meet the Hegarty team at an open day in the new office in Bourne from 12-6pm on Tuesday 22nd October. There will be an opportunity to see the new offices and chat with the Hegarty team, whilst enjoying tea, coffee, and cake!

The Bourne office will house a team of experienced solicitors specialising in family law and trust and probate services, providing residents with expert legal advice and support.

Additionally, Hegarty will also offer appointments at the Bourne office for those needing legal advice across a wide range of legal services, ensuring the Bourne and surrounding communities have full access to its expertise.

The finishing touches are now underway on work that has transformed the office building, which was previously Barclays Bank, into a modern, welcoming space that reflects Hegarty’s commitment to quality and client care.

"Opening our new office in Bourne to celebrate our 50th anniversary is a proud moment for us," said Chris Brown, Partner at Hegarty, who is also a local Bourne resident.

"We have always been dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and this new location allows us to extend that commitment to the Bourne community. We are excited to bring our trusted legal services to this area, further strengthening our presence in Lincolnshire. We look forward to serving the Bourne community and continuing our long-standing tradition of providing exceptional legal services to our clients.”

The opening of the new Bourne office isn't the only exciting development within Hegarty’s 50th year. As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, the firm set out to honour the ‘local firm’ ethos that has defined its identity for half a century, by committing to completing an inspiring journey of 50 fundraising and community support initiatives during 2024.

The goal at the start of the year was to raise £10,000 for local charities Sports Connections Foundation in Peterborough, MindSpace in Stamford, Pepper’s A Safe Place in Oakham, and Dementia Support in Market Deeping. By July, Hegarty’s fundraising efforts had already surpassed this goal, with the monies raised now close to £13,000.

Despite reaching their goal early, the Hegarty team shows no sign of stopping yet, with plenty of further fundraising planned before the end of December.

Hegarty was established in 1974 and is one of the largest law firms in the region. The firm offers a wide range of legal expertise as property conveyancers, experts in wills, trust and probate issues family law solicitors and dispute resolution advisors, as well as offering corporate legal services from its offices in Market Deeping, Stamford, Oakham, Peterborough, and now, Bourne.
