Five free Halloween events have been held over the last week, bringing spooky fun and community spirit to all ages at Ongo’s community centres.
The Arc in Scunthorpe and The Viking Centre in Barton upon Humber offer warm spaces, foodbanks, activities, events, and a safe place for everyone to access, along with employment, mental health, housing and financial support.
During the week they held five thrilling events, with over 70 people attending. These included family bingo, pumpkin carving, bowling and a huge disco with prizes for best dressed.
Victoria Bradshaw, Team Leader at The Arc said: “We’ve had a fantastic week of spooky activities with families from the area.
“It’s always great to provide these for free so that they’re accessible for everyone and we can bring people together, build relationships and have some fun.
“We’re now busy planning for Christmas, with loads going on from our big annual light switch on, to breakfast with Santa and free gifts for those most in need, so make sure you keep an eye out for that.
“As always, a huge thanks to everyone that attends and helps to make these events such a huge success.”
