As we settle into the year ahead, we are excited to share some of the amazing milestones and opportunities that have already set the tone for 2025. Our unwavering commitment to supporting our members and fostering growth is stronger than ever, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come!
Kicking Off the Year with Success
We started the month with a bang by hosting the annual Construction and Property Awards, a flagship event celebrating excellence in these crucial industries. Last year, we welcomed 852 attendees to honour outstanding businesses, with several of our awards such as the South Holland and Lincolnshire Business Awards now celebrating over a decade of success! These long-standing awards continue to thrive because of the incredible contributions and achievements they highlight year after year.
Sarah Duxbury, Head of Commercial at Lincolnshire Showground, expresses her appreciation for the partnership on the awards: “Working with the Chamber on the Lincolnshire Business Awards is always such a pleasure. They truly value and celebrate local businesses, and it shows in everything they do. The event is a fantastic way to showcase business achievements across Lincolnshire and bring people together.”
A Diverse Range of Events
Last year we hosted 92 events, which we’re proud to say have connected businesses across the county.
Business Development Management at Lindum Group, Jeff Todds remarks on our fantastic events: “The Chamber’s events and networking opportunities have been invaluable for fostering connections in our sector. I’m excited to see their plans for the year ahead, which will no doubt bring even greater benefits to the construction and property industries.”
We’re excited about the diverse range of events planned for the coming year, including workshops, networking opportunities, and initiatives that support all industries. Previous events such as Winging It at RSPB Frampton Marsh, Netwalking at South Ormsby Estate, Axethrowing at Crown Hall Farm, Swing into Networking at Thonock Park, Networking Escape Rooms and our first ever Christmas event Mingle and Jingle at Stokes Coffee have all been incredibly popular due to their welcoming environment. In contrast we have run several knowledge focussed events including a Manufacturing and Engineering workshop with the University of Lincoln, hosted private dinner discussions around key business topics during our Table Talk Series and launched our Construction & Property Summit, to name a few. These events break away from the stigma surrounding networking, offering participants, both newcomers and regulars the chance to build valuable connections and gain insightful knowledge.
Sustainability and Growth
Our focus on sustainability is reaching new heights with our ongoing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) campaign. We are proud to align our efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and we’ve seen tremendous results so far. This year, we’ve provided work experience opportunities for students and promoted a graduate to the role of Events Coordinator, strengthening our team and empowering local talent.
Through various initiatives, we continue to help our members take actionable steps toward becoming more sustainable. Our workshops, resources, and collaborations are driving positive change within the business community.
International Trade on the Rise
International trade continues to thrive, and we are excited about the opportunities it brings. In 2024, we ran 20 training courses, supporting a total of 90 delegates and this year we have numerous workshops and seminars designed to help businesses expand globally. These events are equipping local companies with the tools they need to succeed in an interconnected world.
Over the past year, we’re proud to have supported 312 businesses and certified 1,650 documents, and we look forward to continuing to provide resources and guidance for international trade in 2025.
Our patrons appreciate the work and resources we offer. Rachel Slack from Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd shares: “We regularly utilise their international trade services, particularly for generating Certificates of Origin. The Chamber also offers valuable training courses, such as the ITOPS course, which is great for individuals new to international trade. As a Patron, we benefit from some great savings on these training opportunities.”
Moving Forward
We are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve seen within our Chamber over the past year, and we are eagerly anticipating what’s ahead. With a jam-packed calendar of events, workshops, and new opportunities, we’re here to support your business every step of the way.
Here’s to a year of continued success, growth, and new achievements!
