Are you in the Borough of Boston? Can we assist you? Can you assist us?

Local Charity, Boston Community Transport offer an essential transport alternative to more vulnerable and isolated people or for those who do not have access to or cannot afford public transport or a taxi. We will take you wherever you would like to go – from the hospital to the hairdressers.

We charge just 60p per mile, starting and finishing at the Volunteer Drivers home, to cover expenses and the charity gets a small percentage per mile towards running costs.

A high volume of our customers are elderly and without our essential, affordable transport service many would not leave their homes.

We are urgently seeking more volunteer drivers who have their own cars, and currently we have 11 volunteer drivers, who use their own vehicles, to drive people to wherever they would like to go and return them home safely but will also sit and wait for them at no extra charge and assist where required.  As a driver you will get to meet people, help those in need and get 45p expenses starting and finishing at your home.

As a volunteer driver you will be DBS checked, have a roadworthy car, need to be friendly and want to give something back to your community.

We don’t only cover the Boston area, we do many regular trips to Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Peterborough hospitals too.

As we are becoming more widely known there is an urgent need for more Volunteer Drivers. If this sounds like something that would interest you please contact Angela Gould, Office Manager on 01205 360183 or email office@bostonct.org.uk

We are also looking for Trustees to join our Board, if can share your expertise with us we would be pleased to hear from you.

Alternatively if we can assist you with your transport needs please do not hesitate to contact us and ask for Andrew or Nathan who would be more than happy to help you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
