Read MoreLincoln-based telecoms provider Bluecube has launched a new seamless telephony service with Microsoft Teams to help businesses keep staff and customers connected whilst working from home or out of the office.
Since the lockdown, millions of businesses have made use of services such as Microsoft Teams to support remote working. Bluecube is now able to connect Teams with existing phone systems to enable businesses to make, take and manage their business calls through the popular application.
Bluecube’s new Microsoft Teams Telephony solution connects with Microsoft Teams while allowing businesses to manage calls on their main business telephone number. Users can make, receive and transfer calls all within Teams and the system can integrate with an existing IP phone system.
The flexible, scalable service gives businesses the choice to manage calls using a desk phone, the mobile app or remotely on a PC, laptop or Mac using a headset at no extra cost.
All UK calls to local, national and UK mobile networks are also included in the monthly user rental price, and users can trial the service for 30 days before committing to a longer agreement.
Paul Reames
Paul Reames, managing director at Bluecube, said: “At the beginning of lockdown, businesses were focused on making a quick, overnight transition to working from home. Now we’re a few months on and working remotely has become the norm, businesses have realised that now is the time to make long term commitments to giving staff the flexibility to work from. Businesses now want solutions that can enable their team to work more flexibly and productively.
“That’s why it’s so important that telephony products have adaptability to enable people to manage calls wherever they are, on whatever device they prefer, to make their device an extension of their business telephone.
“Our new Microsoft Teams Telephony solution helps businesses go even further to adapt Teams to their needs, keeping business running smoothly.
” There’s no expensive hardware to invest in and the system is fully managed by the Bluecube team, meaning that customers can just use it and leave the technical part to us.
“There’s been a real shift in mindset and we’re excited to be supporting businesses as they establish new and better ways of working!”
Microsoft Teams has seen a huge increase in use by businesses in the UK since lockdown began in March this year, keeping people and businesses connected with internal audio and video calls, chat functions and the ability to share documents and information via the free software.
