Environmental management support  

We aim to provide businesses with support in understanding their environmental impacts and looking for opportunities to improve. Reducing environmental impact for businesses provides opportunities for cost saving, future proofing and staying ahead of regulations, thus encouraging stronger engagement with stakeholders and suppliers. We aim to do this in the following ways.  

  • Access to templates to support in putting an environmental policy in place  
  • Mapping the environmental impacts of their operations and suggest areas in which they may be able to reduce emissions. 
  • 1 to 1 support in creating an environmental policy and action plan for your business 
  • Support in putting processes into place for easier data collection for mapping and calculating emissions.  
  • Guidance into incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into your business 

Carbon footprint 

Providing Support in a basic carbon footprint, by looking at the most significant environmental impact areas. A Carbon footprint is calculated by using the emissions multiplied by the GHG emission factor for all of scope 1 and 2, in addition, some of scope 3 impacts can be included, so businesses can better understand where to begin in reducing their emissions.  

We can also support in understanding how you can collect data from your suppliers for scope 3 calculations. 

Social value  

Social Value refers to the positive impact an organisation has on society beyond the financial bottom line. This could be generally through day- to-day business, or the benefit created by additional work and contracts. We aim to support businesses understand their current social value and provide opportunities to increase it, as well as support in how Social Value can be used within the tendering process.  

Many businesses already create Social Value. Our aims are to provide guidance in ‘connecting the dots’ and channelling the social value in targeted and meaningful ways, such as: 

  • Support in mapping their current social value performance and where it could align to potential objectives with tendering.  
  • Support in Linking with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)  
  • Understand your current social impact through our accreditation

Governance is essential for all businesses to ensure employees feel motivated and understand the standards and expectations within the business, through our support services we can provide guidance on how to formulate policies and procedures to foster a culture of trust, accountability and transparency.
