Charity Trustee, is this you?

Local charity Boston Community Transport are calling on all business people within the Borough of Boston.

We are looking for Trustees in the following areas (however, we welcome any skills that you may have): Finance, Charity Work, Marketing, Fundraising, Legal, PR, Accountancy, Promotion/Events.

We offer an essential transport alternative to more vulnerable and isolated people or for those who do not have access to or cannot afford public transport or a taxi.  We will take you wherever you would like to go – from the hospital to the hairdressers.

We charge just 60p per mile, starting and finishing at the Volunteer Drivers home, to cover expenses and the charity gets a small percentage per mile towards running costs.

A high volume of our customers are elderly and without our essential, affordable transport service many would not leave their homes.

If you wish to be considered as a Trustee, we would be pleased to hear from you.

We have 6 Trustee meetings per year to discuss policy, development and assist the charity through regular input regarding ideas and suggestions, also to attend regular events to promote the service.

Full training will be given and a guide on the ‘Role of a Trustee’.
