Chestnut Homes among fastest-growing SMEs in the country

Lincolnshire housebuilder Chestnut Homes has been named on a list of the fastest-growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.

The developer has been included in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report, an annual celebration of some the country’s most dynamic businesses.

Now in its fifth year, the report assesses companies on a range of indicators, including revenue, growth in turnover and performance relative to their sector.

Chestnut Homes, which is based in Langworth, near Lincoln, is one of just seven engineering and construction companies from the East Midlands to feature in this year’s report, and the only one from Lincolnshire.

The company, which is celebrating its 30^th anniversary in 2018, has registered a significant increase in sales and turnover in recent years, and has made a major investment in new machinery to ensure it sustains this impressive growth.

Last year the housebuilder embarked upon its largest project to date, the Quadrant development in Boston, which will eventually deliver 500 new homes, retail and commercial premises and a new football stadium for Boston United FC.

Work has also started on a new 275-home development in Dunholme and the third phase of the Manor Farm development in Bardney.
