New phase of council grant scheme ensures vital support for South Holland businesses

As with the previous grant funding schemes, applications can be made quickly by filling out a simple online form on the Council website, with the process due to go live at 10am on Monday.

This, along with the detailed eligibility criteria and more information about the grant can be found at www.sholland.gov.uk/GrantSupport. This is the only place that these forms can be completed, and any third party websites or links not associated with South Holland District Council will not be able to access the grants and may be fraudulent.

To allow the new scheme to go live, the first phase of the discretionary grant scheme, which has been focused on supporting businesses in South Holland with fixed property costs, will close on Friday 31 July at 5pm. Any businesses who received a grant of under £5,000 through the first scheme will also receive additional support to ensure they receive the same amount as those applying in phase two.

Councillor Nick Worth, portfolio holder for growth and commercialisation, welcomed the expansion, saying: “It has been fantastic to see how many businesses we have already been able to provide invaluable financial support to during this difficult and unprecedented time. By expanding further with this new phase of funding I believe we can offer a lifeline to many who have previously been left out in other national schemes.”
