Young visitors delight in donkey’s communal ‘He-haw’

With the rise in the cost of living affecting everyday spending, free visitor attractions such as Bransby Horses are proving popular among cash strapped families.

As a charity working to rescue and rehabilitate the animals it cares for Bransby Horses is also a top of the list for many families who would prefer not to visit a farm or zoo.

Vegan family Instagram influencer @mamabenatural recently visited the charity based in Bransby near Lincoln, with her young family.

She told her followers it provided the perfect opportunity for her young daughters to get up close and appreciate beautiful creatures within an environment that is caring and respectful of the animals.

Talking about her visit in May 2022 she wrote: “The donkeys were our favourites as they were very interactive and it was particularly amusing when they all started ‘he-hawing’ at each other.

“We also enjoyed looking around the donated goods shop and the girls where super excited to find some My Little Pony figures.

“We finished our visit with a cup of tea and some delicious vegan chocolate cake in the tastefully decorated and clean café.”

Wheretogowiththekids blogger Suzy McCullough also enjoyed her visit so much she felt compelled to recommend it to her followers.

Suzy said: “We passed quite a few pleasant hours at Bransby horses. More than we were actually expecting to. It’s a lovely place with modern facilities run by a highly commendable charity. I would certainly recommend a visit.”

Bransby Horses is not only free to visit but also offers a fun trail for children to complete and has a well-equipped play park.

The trail activities have a new theme each month and cost £3.50 per child, which includes an answer sheet and gift.
