Drivetech launches chauffeur driver training course to boost professional driver safety

Drivetech, part of the AA, a specialist in driver training and risk management, has launched an exclusive course for in-post and prospective chauffeurs, designed to reduce accidents, improve driving standards and optimise client satisfaction for professional drivers.

Training for chauffeurs is essential to ensure these drivers possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and professionalism to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable transportation experience for their clients. Driver training helps to instil a commitment to passenger safety and satisfaction, while maintaining a high level of service quality, in teaching drivers how to handle various road conditions and emergency situations, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring the safety of their passengers.

Meanwhile, chauffeurs often deal with traffic congestion, demanding schedules, and passengers with high expectations. Professional training can help them develop stress management and coping strategies to improve wellbeing, allowing chauffeurs to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure, while enhanced navigation skill training, particularly for driving in challenging urban environments, will boost skills further.

Drivetech’s course was launched in response to significant client demand for greater professional driver training, says Nick Butler, director, Drivetech. “With a chauffeur’s role comes a high degree of personal responsibility. Chauffeurs must also be experts in defensive driving techniques and are required to anticipate and react to potential hazards on the road, ensuring the safety of their passengers. We look forward to playing our part in increasing driver safety and wellbeing for this sector.”

Drivetech’s chauffeur driving course is a two-day programme suitable for one to two drivers at a time. Participants are required to use their own vehicle during the course.

Drivetech is dedicated to providing comprehensive driver training and fleet management solutions, including assessing, consulting, coaching, and training and delivers fleet and driver risk assessments and safe driving training in over 95 countries and online in over 35 languages. The firm’s expertise has helped clients enhance driver safety, minimise fleet expenses, and reduce their carbon footprint.
