Revival Grant for East Lindsey District and Boston Borough

To support the ongoing recovery of the local economy, East Lindsey District Council and Boston Borough Council are using the remainder of their Additional Restrictions Grant allocations to deliver the Revival Grant which will be made available to eligible businesses via their partner, East Midlands Business Ltd (EMB).

The Revival Grant is a business development grant, which is intended to be flexible in scope in order to match local business recovery/growth opportunities.

To be eligible for the Revival Grant you must be:

  • Based in East Lindsey / Boston respectively
  • Be trading (pre-start businesses are not eligible)
  • An SMEs (0-249 employees) – SMEs in all sectors can be considered.

The Revival Grant also requires:

  • An applicant contribution (the Revival Grant will contribute 75% of project costs up to a maximum grant of £10,000).

The Revival Grant will support (list not exhaustive and at the discretion of EMB):

  • Consultancy support to realise opportunity during recovery e.g. digital or sector specialists;
  • Procurement of equipment to improve business processes;
  • Adoption of new technology to deliver or diversify business activities – e.g. e-commerce platforms, contactless payments, hardware/software to support remote working;
  • Procurement of equipment that will reduce waste and promote the transition to a low carbon economy.

The Revival Grant will not support (list not exhaustive and at the discretion of EMB):

  • The purchase of “standard” office information technology equipment such as laptops, or PC’s unless this is directly linked to an emerging business opportunity, agile working or linked business software operation;
  • Ongoing normal business costs (i.e. business rates, overheads, basic equipment and tools required to undertake the economic activity, etc.);
  • Costs associated with any statutory requirement for the business;
  • Any costs that have already been incurred prior to receiving the Grant approval (offer letter).

The Revival Grant application process is in three distinct stages:

1. Businesses can register an interest in the Revival Grant w/c 6th December 2021, up to 9th January 2022 for the East Lindsey area by e-mailing eldc@business-revival.co.uk (e-mails or correspondence to any other e-mail address will not be accepted as a registration) and for the Boston area  bbc@business-revival.co.uk.

Please note that receipt of the registration request does not constitute that funding has been reserved for the business. Grant funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on receipt of the Expression of Interest.

2. All businesses registering an interest during this period will be sent a link to complete an online Expression of Interest at the same time, at 12:00 on 10th January 2022 by EMB. Completion and submission of this EOI will act as the time/date stamp for the application (given the grant is being administered on a first come, first served basis until the budget allocated).

3. All EOIs will be reviewed by EMB and those that are eligible will be invited to submit a Full Application via an on-line portal. The full application will be reviewed by EMB and successful applicants will be sent an ‘offer letter’. Successful applicants will have four (4) months to complete their project and claim their Revival Grant.

Should you have any questions relating to the Revival Grant, please contact: eldc@business-revival.co.uk for East Lindsey area or bbc@business-revival.co.uk for Boston.
