Topic and speakers

The government’s Research & Development tax incentive regime is a tax relief designed to encourage UK companies to spend more money on research and development, leading in turn, to greater investment in innovation.

The relief works by rewarding those companies spending money on R&D projects with corporation tax savings, corporation tax rebates or corporation tax credits.

We will be hearing from Ryan Witter and Nabil Patel of R and D Reclaims, an independent consultancy, on how R&D works for the construction and property sectors, how to claim tax credits, and what they can do to help your organisation.

Visit the R and D Reclaims website

Ryan Witter – Tax Director

Ryan is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with significant experience in various corporate tax advisory services including R&D, Capital Allowances, SEIS/EIS, Share Schemes, Mergers and Acquisitions.

He is a panel member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Manchester, the HMRC R&D consultative committee, and a previous panel member of the ACCA Practitioners Panel, providing him with access to the latest developments within the industry and policy-making input.

Nabil Patel – Technical Director
