Advanced Workplace Mentoring (Level 3 Accredited)

Accredited and certificated by the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring (IAPCM)

This one-day advanced practical course by NW Counselling Hub is aimed at those who have experience of mentoring adults and students. It has been designed to enable participants to enhance their skills and approaches so that they are highly effective mentors.

Objectives

To enable participants to:

  • Develop their knowledge, understanding, skills and associated insights to assist them to be a highly effective workplace mentors;
  • Build on their currents experience and knowledge/understanding through collaborative activities and through direct tutorial input;

 

Learning outcomes

  • A developed set of constructs linked to the process of mentoring derived from knowledge of mentoring models and some theoretical perspectives on the process of mentorship.
  • An understanding of mentorship as involving directive and non-directive coaching
  • A developed set of skills linked to the effective use of a solution focused approach to mentorship
  • A developed understanding of the application of different mentorship models and approaches to their workplace setting.
  • An appreciation of the effective us of a range of diagnostic tools to support effective mentorship.

 

Cost

The one day course is being offered though the NWCH for a discount price of £100.  This includes the level 3 certification.

 

Venue

  • In the dedicated Training Room at NW Counselling Hub.
  • On-site parking is available.
  • Lunch will be provided – please advise dietary requirements when booking.

About the Course Leader:

Dr Stephen Hopkins

Dr Stephen Hopkins is the owner/director of Touchstone Development Ltd. He has been involved in the design, development and delivery of training and development courses / programmes for most of his career.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), an accredited coach and mentor of International Association of Professional Coaching and Mentoring (IAPCM) senior level accreditation, and a Fellow of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL). Stephen is an accredited counsellor/therapist and works in this capacity for the NWCH.

Stephen designed the IAPCM accredited Advanced Workplace Mentoring course to meet the needs of a range of workplaces. He has run the course face to face in the UK and virtually to international clients.
