Trading with the EU from 1 January 2021 Workshop

On the 1st January 2021 the UK entered a new trading era with the EU.

The new UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) is quite unique and this, coupled with the new border operating model, will impact the way that all goods are moved between the two Parties – whether by parcel, pallet, or container.

Have you considered how your legal responsibilities will change as an importer and/or exporter? Do you understand the customs process and the requirement to be HMRC compliant?

These changes may have significant implications for your cost base, your staff workload (and training requirements), your operating procedures and compliance. You HAVE to understand the new rules to ensure your goods keep moving and reach their designated destination without unnecessary delays.

This course will provide an overview of the key aspects of the new trading relationship with the EU.

Who should attend

This course is suitable for companies exporting and importing products to and from overseas markets (it is not relevant for service companies) – whether new to the process or simply wanting to update their knowledge. Everyone within an organisation is involved in some way, however those staff who have a greater responsibility for sales, purchasing, shipping, and maintaining appropriate export/import records will benefit the most from participation.

Please note this event is organised by East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, who will be hosting the event and will be in touch with joining information.
