Exam Success for Lincoln Security Employees

September 2019 has seen a number of exam successes for Lincoln Security's administration, accounts and surveying team members with four of our team members completing courses. Matthew Cragg, Kelsey Groom, David Rawlinson and Jordan Farrar all breathed a sigh of relief as their grades were announced. Kelsey Groom Kelsey Groom, our Locksmith Administrator recently passed her Level 2 in ‘Business Administration’ from Lincoln College, the course involved on the job learning whilst working with our locksmith installation manager, completing coursework and sixth monthly PDR’s. Keen to continue with her studies, Kelsey is currently undertaking her level 3 in ‘Team Leading’. “I’m excited to start my level three in team leading as I will get to expand my knowledge of managing staff and grow my qualifications. I’d like to progress to an administration manager over the next few years and this qualification will enable me to progress towards this” Jordan Farrar Jordan Farrar, our Finance Assistant has recently completed his AAT Level 3 and has also just achieved AATQB status, making him an AAT bookkeeping member. Level 3 tested Jordan’s strengths in areas such as tax, bookkeeping and excel spreadsheets at an advanced level. “I came to Lincoln Security for work experience four years ago when I was 15 and really enjoyed it, I knew straight away that accountancy was the route for me”. He is now currently studying AAT Level 4 which will be his final year. “Becoming Level 4 AAT qualified has always been my goal, but I am always looking for ways to better myself - studying Chartered Accountancy may be the next path I take”. David Rawlinson David Rawlinson, our Trade Counter Supervisor has passed Stage 1 of The Certificate in Architectural Hardware. Completed over the course of 6 months, Dave had to complete several modules online before sitting a final exam. David said “Since I’ve started at Lincoln Security, I have an interest in door hardware and the manufacturing of products. I also know the importance of the British and European standards and the importance of broadening my knowledge on the subject matter, im now preparing for my Stage 2 to develop my knowledge further” Matt Cragg Lastly but by no means least, our security and fire door surveyor, Matthew Cragg, has been awarded his ‘FDIS diploma in Fire Doors’. The FDIS is Europe’s first fire door inspection scheme, launched in 2012 and is a joint venture delivered by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI).  Matt is now working towards becoming an FDIS certified inspector. “Having worked on the supply and installation of fire and security doors for a number of years the FDIS course has helped to strengthen my knowledge and skills and will help to improve the safety of all our customers fire doors.” Lincoln Security are proud to support their staff through additional training courses and qualifications. Staff are given time during work hours to study and complete coursework and encouraged to seek out courses they believe will help them improve in their job and help develop their careers. Aiden Farrar, Lincoln Security’s managing director said; “We continually invest in our staffs development, this gives them confidence in their knowledge and abilities which ultimately gives our customers the best guidance and service possible. I’m really proud of Jordan, Matt, Kelsey and David for their achievements which is only through hard work and commitment in and out of the work place and we will continue to support them and all our staff with their personal and professional development” For more information visit www.lincolnsecurity.co.uk
