Lincoln print company raises nearly £300 for local charity through open evening

On the 28th of September, Visual Print and Design, a Lincoln-based commercial print and design studio, held its first open evening since the COVID-19 pandemic to showcase its expanding range of services and raise money for charity.

The event was held at their office in Lincoln where customers and associates were given the opportunity to see their production facilities and design studio in action, listen to live music, enjoy nibbles and drinks and raise money for YMCA Lincolnshire.

Nearly 50 businesses came along for the evening and helped to raise £275 for the charity thanks to donations by local organisations including Lincoln Minster School, Lincolnshire Showground and the British Hamper Company for its raffle.

The open evening took place to highlight how much Visual Print and Design have grown in the last 3 years and to showcase the vast selection of print services they now offer. Throughout the evening, visitors were given a tour of production facilities and were able to take home a gift that had been printed on-site.

Scott McGinn, Fundraising and Income Manager at YMCA Lincolnshire said:

“Thank you to the team at Visual Print and Design for supporting YMCA Lincolnshire. It really means a lot to us and it will assist us in making a difference for those most in need.

The raffle raised an incredible £275 for YMCA Lincolnshire’s vital work across the county. We really could not do what we do – supporting Lincolnshire’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people to reach their potential – without support like this.”

Rachael Hunt, Head of Marketing and Business Development said:

“The last time we had an open evening was over 3 years to celebrate our 10th birthday so it seemed like the perfect time to do it again. With nearly 50 people coming along and with gifts donated by local businesses, we were able to raise nearly £300 for YMCA Lincolnshire.

We’ve changed so much in the last couple of years to help service our expanding customer base and it was great to be able to showcase this to both new and existing customers.”
