“These restrictions will continue to have a devastating impact on businesses across the county. Our biggest concern is the hospitality businesses and the associated jobs at risk, particularly those in the supply chain of these businesses who have no financial support from Government.
“As a Chamber network we will continue to work hard, as we have throughout the pandemic, to ensure greater support is made available for those businesses that have been hit the hardest, including towns and city centres that continue to miss out because of prolonged home working.
“We will see a review of the tiers on 16th December, however the process of areas moving into new tiers should be transparent and leave enough time to allow businesses to plan accordingly.
“While this is distressing news for our members and wider business community we all now need to continue to come together as a community, follow the advice and hope for easing of restriction as early as possible.”
