Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce welcomes Tammy Dawson–Doughty as new Head of UK FPN Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the appointment of Tammy Dawson–Doughty as the new Head of UK Fresh Produce Network (UK FPN). Joining the team in late 2023, Tammy brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to the growth and development of agrifood businesses in the county over the past few months.

For over 130 years, the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce has been committed to supporting businesses through diverse initiatives such as events and networking opportunities, marketing support, workshops, signposting opportunities, International Trade support, UK FPN and much more. The UK FPN aims to connect and support professionals in the fresh produce industry throughout Lincolnshire by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and promoting growth.

Born and raised in Lincolnshire, the county is close to Tammy’s heart with its rich history, vibrant communities, and beautiful landscapes. Tammy’s familiarity and passion for Lincolnshire has given her a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities that local businesses face. After spending much of her life working in Lincolnshire, specialising in business innovation, partnerships and income maximisation, Tammy looks forward to using her contacts and experience to support local organisations and bring success to the local businesses.

“Whether you are a large-scale producer, an importer, a distributor, or an industry professional, I look forward to supporting your business and fostering a thriving community where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and growth opportunities are at the forefront!” commented Tammy.

“Please feel free to connect with me, share your thoughts, or reach out for any collaborations or opportunities!”

As Head of UK FPN Lincolnshire, Tammy will be working closely with farmers, suppliers, retailers, and policymakers to promote and support the local fresh produce industry and create opportunities for collaboration and innovation. In addition to her current role at the Chamber, Tammy is also passionate about martial arts and is the current chair of trustees at Boston Grammar School.

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Tammy, stating, “We are thrilled to have Tammy join the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce team.  Her expertise, dedication and skills have already proven invaluable, enhancing our capabilities and offerings for UK Fresh Produce businesses across the county through implementing effective policies and strategies that benefit both the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and our network.”

Businesses involved in the fresh produce industry, locally, nationally, or internationally, are encouraged to connect with Tammy to explore the benefits of the UK FPN and how it can help their business.

Additionally, everyone is invited to the free UK FPN Lincolnshire Industry Conference on Wednesday, 27th March 2024, at Boston United Football Club, PE21 7NE, featuring discussions from politicians and industry experts on the UK Border Strategy, technology and innovation, a Q&A session, and excellent networking opportunities.
