Lincolnshire Councils join together for warmer homes

Councillor John Fenty, Portfolio holder for Regeneration, Skills and Housing at North East Lincolnshire Council said: “We’re delighted to be working with our neighbours to help people stay warm and save money.

“A warm home is something no-one should be without, but rising energy costs and lack of energy efficiency measures mean some people struggle to heat their homes.

“I urge the people of North East Lincolnshire to contact the Lincs 4 Warmer Homes scheme and discuss what funding they could be eligible for.”

Marcus Asquith, Partnership Director at ENGIE, said: “We’re pleased to be supporting our partner and the neighbouring authorities with this partnership.

“Households that do not have a central heating system installed may be eligible for funding from the Warm Homes Fund to install one for the first time whether you have access to mains gas or not.”

Jeremy Nesbitt, Managing Director of Affordable Warmth Solutions, said: “We’re delighted to be providing funding to through the Warm Homes Fund programme and to be working with the partnership to provide solutions to the challenges associated with homes living in fuel poverty.”

Cllr Martin Griggs, Portfolio holder for Housing and Communities at Boston Borough Council, said: “With the colder months just around the corner, we are proud to be part of a scheme that will help residents across Lincolnshire stay warm. This initiative is a perfect example of public and private sector agencies coming together to make a real difference to people’s lives.

“We have already heard stories of how the Warm Homes Fund has helped people and hope that there will be similar successes in our districts. I encourage everyone to find out more about the scheme and check to see if they are eligible.”

Michelle Howard, Assistant Director, Housing and Wellbeing for Boston Borough Council and East Lindsey District Council, said: “We are delighted to be working as a new partnership to deliver funding to residents to deliver energy efficient improvements to homes in our districts. In areas where this funding is already operating, residents have been very positive about the support they have received. It will make a huge difference in helping people on low incomes to heat their homes effectively.”
