Read MoreAutomotive glazing service specialist, National Windscreens has moved to new premises in Lincoln having taken a lease on a brand new workshop & yard at Riverside Enterprise Park, Skellingthorpe Road in Saxilby.
The relocation to Riverside Enterprise Park from the company’s trading location at Wainer Close in the city saw Eddisons incorporating Banks Long & Co as the letting agent on behalf of client, Castle Square Securities Ltd, to Cary UK Ltd trading as ‘National Windscreens’.
National Windscreens is the second national brand to secure premises at this latest phase – Phase 6 – of Riverside Enterprise Park, where Screwfix was announced as the anchor tenant.
The new 2,000 sq ft workshop at Unit 34 Riverside Enterprise Park provides National Windscreens – one of the automotive sector’s leading windscreen service companies – with a ‘blank canvas’ in which to roll out new operational practices which, increasingly, need to accommodate Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) technologies.
The move is part of the company’s planned sustainable growth strategy which includes several new UK-wide workshop relocations.
Andy Rae, Operations Director, explains further, “In seeking new premises in Lincoln, the key requirements were high quality premises in an accessible location.
“The advance of ADAS in our automotive specialism means glazing work needs a formal workshop environment with integrated tech-installations that no longer fit the previous mobile windscreen replacement model of the past.
“The advantages of a ‘clean’ brand new-build unit had immediate appeal. Plus, in being adjacent to the A57 at Saxilby, west of Lincoln, Riverside Park was soon in our sights for the relocation of our Lincoln workshop and our local expert workforce from our previous site.”
Speaking about the latest letting, Cameron McRae, of Eddisons’ Lincoln agency on Westgate, said, “Riverside Enterprise Park has fast become an established commercial trading location.
“National Windscreen, as the second large brand operator at this latest phase of the Park, gives another national covenant strength and that’s a testament to it being a sought after location by high profile occupiers.”
The agent adds that only two units remain available for let or for sale in this current phase of Riverside Enterprise Park.
