Ongo Recruitment celebrate best year ever

Scunthorpe based agency, Ongo Recruitment is celebrating another successful year in business.

Operating for 19 years, Ongo Recruitment supply temporary project workers, permanent staff and apprentices within regional and national businesses.

New for the team in 2021, they were awarded a large contract from North Lincolnshire Council to deliver their aim of continuing to provide quality care across the region. The contract focused on recruitment and retention within the care sector and forms a part of the Proud to Care  initiative.

This pilot contract was a success and it has recently been extended for a further 12 months following the successful appointment of 34 care workers, ready to enter the sector.

Apprenticeships has been another focus for the agency, working to support individuals at the beginning of their career, placing 34 apprentices in roles across North Lincolnshire, with 13 of these created within Ongo to help develop our future talent.

Since April 2021 over 200 temporary workers have been placed into roles, 26 into permanent positions and 964 individuals interviewed and registered on their database for future roles. The team also arranged 285 interviews with employers.

They have also continued to provide Personal Assistants to reduce social isolation for people living in North Lincolnshire, and help vulnerable adults get vital supplies. They’ve continued to support Humberside Police by fulfilling their Appropriate Adult contract to supply skilled staff to support vulnerable adults in custody.

Rich Green, Recruitment Manager, said: “This year has been another busy one, with lots of successes over the last 12 months to celebrate. My highlight is continuing to build effective relationships for the future with our public service partners such as North Lincolnshire Council and the NHS Trust.

“Looking forward to the next 12 months we are continually horizon scanning the employment markets, to ensure that we continue to deliver to the sectors that are most needed.

“This in turn benefits local candidates, as we can help them open doors into new roles and employers within the local area.

“The value added benefit of using our services is that we also have an employment support team who work on awarded contracts to deliver a range of support services for individuals who may not be quite work-ready yet.

“So please if you or anyone you know is looking for support or work, get in touch with us.”
