Print Industry recognises Lincoln Marketer as a Rising Star

Rachael Hunt, Creative Marketing Manager at Lincoln-based Visual Print and Design, has been recognised as 1 of 47 recipients of the Rising Star Award that showcases the best young talent within the print industry across the UK.

The annual awards, organised by the Printing Charity, enable successful recipients to invest in their personal and professional career development in the print, paper, publishing and packaging sectors with each winner receiving a £1500 grant. Rachael will be using the grant to take her skills to the next level with the Mini MBA in Marketing, an accredited course founded by Mark Ritson.

From interning in New York City and then progressing her marketing career within an agency environment for five years, Rachael joined Visual Print and Design in 2019. Since then, she has helped take the business to the next level by introducing new services, expanding its client base within the public sector and going through a complete rebrand.

Rachael Hunt, Creative Marketing Manager, said:

“I’m absolutely ecstatic to be one of 47 people recognised by the Printing Charity as a Rising Star. The last year has been extremely hard on the print industry but there is so much fresh talent coming through and it feels amazing to be considered one of them.

“I’m a big believer in continuous development and very excited to start the mini-MBA in Marketing course in September.”

The awards scheme was first launched in 2003 with applicants needing to be aged 18 to 30, resident in the UK, working in the sector, and detail in their submissions how the award would advance their career.

This year, applicants from the awards were judged by representatives of pioneering companies within the sector including Agfa, Reach Printing Services, the NCTJ, Picon, the IPIA, and The Telegraph/Telegraph Media Group, among numerous others.

To celebrate everyone’s achievements, all winners were invited to a virtual celebration on the 23rd of June and have now joined its growing alumni group set up to help them stay connected to other young talents in the sector.
