Read MoreReuseabox, the B Corp circular economy packaging company, today announced a year-long celebration for its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of helping businesses reuse cardboard boxes.
What began as just one person selling cardboard boxes from a garage has grown into a multi-million-pound company, helping organisations of all sizes reduce packaging waste and their environmental impact by providing a better way to buy cardboard boxes.
Over the past 10 years, Reuseabox has facilitated the reuse of an incredible 10,713,925 boxes. Thanks to tracking the impact, as a result, its customers have achieved remarkable environmental savings by reusing and not purchasing new cardboard boxes:
448,713 tonnes of CO2 saved
7.5 billion kWh of energy saved
91 billion litres of water saved
1.57 million trees not cut down
In addition to these achievements, since becoming a proud member of 1% for the Planet in 2023, Reuseabox has planted nearly 300,000 trees and donated over £40,000 to global reforestation projects.
Founded in 2015 by Jack Good shortly after finishing school, Reuseabox began with a single vision, to challenge the notion that cardboard boxes are only ‘single use.’ Since then, prioritising people and the planet has been integral to the company’s growth and success.
A crucial moment came in 2019 with the development of the Reuseabox Environmental Calculator Tool in partnership with the University of Lincoln. This first-of-its-kind tool within the packaging industry enables customers to measure and track the environmental benefits of reusing boxes, supporting businesses in reducing their Scope 3 emissions.
Jack Good, Founder of Reuseabox, said:
“I can’t believe that we’re celebrating a decade of Reuseabox. What started as me selling used cardboard boxes from my parent’s garage has grown into a movement, with thousands of businesses across the UK helping to extend the life of cardboard boxes, simply because it’s better for the planet.
This milestone is only possible thanks to our hard-working team, the Reuseabox community, and our commitment to being purpose-driven in everything we do.”
Throughout 2025, Reuseabox will commemorate its 10th anniversary with a series of activities, including special podcast episodes, press and team events, giveaways, and an open day in Autumn, giving suppliers and customers an inside look at what it takes to reuse 10 million boxes.
