Read MoreLeading regional law firm Sills & Betteridge LLP has beaten its own impressive record in The Legal 500 (The World’s Leading Legal Directory) with high-ranking places for all of the practice areas it was assessed on – including Top Tier status for its Family Law department.
Announced last week, the firm’s Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence and Immigration Law teams have joined the ranks for the first time and the Family Law team were newly recognised in the Yorkshire and The Humber tables, in addition to its existing East Midlands spot.
Practice areas retaining their positions in the tier listings are Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property, Employment Law, Contentious Trusts & Probate and Personal Tax, Trusts & Probate.
Individual highlights include Corporate Partner James Conduit and Family Law Partner Chrystal Theofanous who have retained their positions as Leading Individuals, Family Law Partners Dominic Lee and Siobhan Thompson, and Associate Deborah Linford who have either retained their position or been recognised for the first time as Next Generation Partners and Ailsa Tennant, also a Family Law solicitor who has been newly recognised as a Rising Star Associate.
Senior Partner Karen Bower-Brown is delighted with the results,
“The Legal 500 is one of the principal benchmarks on which law firms measure themselves – and what makes the results so important is that they are driven by the findings of extensive client research and feedback. I am extremely proud to see that we have 3 new practice areas acknowledged and that 30 of us are now listed individually, once again reflecting the outstanding talent in the firm and our ability to consistently deliver the very best legal advice in the regions we serve.”
The firm is also celebrating its recent success at the British Wills, Trusts & Probate Awards where they were announced WINNERS of the Solicitor Firm of the Year (Midlands) category. It now awaits the results of The LexisNexis Family Law Awards – (Family Law Firm of the Year (Midlands & Wales), Children Team of the Year and Financial Remedies Team of the Year).
It will also hear in the next few weeks, its new position in the UK’s Top 200 Law Firms list where it is currently positioned 170.
