Tradeglaze 2024 – A Year in Review by Jeremy Wetherall, MD

2024 has been another fast-paced year navigating rapid market changes. Despite the gloomy picture painted by media headlines, I look back at 2024 with much positivity and a great deal of pride in our achievements.

This year, we met challenges head on, grew our production capacity, developed our portfolio of products, and invested in the business to continue providing the exceptional products and services for which Tradeglaze is known and recommended in the region. Most importantly, we have heavily invested in our people, who are, without a shadow of a doubt, the real stars of the show.

In 2025, Tradeglaze will celebrate 30 years in business. That’s three decades of tackling market ups and downs and still coming out stronger. I am excited to welcome the new year and the challenges and opportunities ahead, knowing my team will continue go above and beyond every day to support our customers, no matter the market conditions.

Investing in the Future

Our dedication to long-term growth has been evident in significant investments and upgrades to our uPVC, Aluminium, and Glass factories. This included the acquisition of the state-of-the-art Emmegi Precision TS2 double mitre saw, enhancing our Aluminium production capabilities with greater efficiency and precision.

2024 saw the addition of several new glazing products to our portfolio. Building on the success of adding uPVC flush casements and Aluminium flush casements at the end of last year, we have introduced Aluminium heritage doors to meet the fast-growing demand for heritage-style products for trade, commercial and refurbishment projects. We have also added flat glass rooflights and expanded our offering with a range of advanced technology integral blinds solutions.

In 2025, you can expect many more new products, including an ultra-slimline patio sliding door, Crittall-style heritage doors, the UK’s first Passivhaus-certified uPVC casement window, and luxury Aluminium entrance doors.

All products represent the pinnacle of UK glazing innovation, carefully chosen to provide outstanding energy efficiency and great value for money—helping our customers stand out from the competition and grow their businesses simultaneously.

At the heart of our success is our team’s expertise and dedication. From advanced site safety qualifications, driver CPC, and first aid at work training to intensive product training, including supplier visits to factories and showrooms across the UK, our colleagues have embraced every opportunity to upskill this year. This commitment ensures compliance with the highest industry standards and creates a knowledgeable workforce ready to assist customers with the most complex projects.

Our dedication to quality and service has once again translated into outstanding customer reviews, with the Tradeglaze group earning the most 5-star reviews on Google in the region. These accolades reflect the hard work and professionalism of our teams across all departments.

Strengthening Community Involvement

This year marked the busiest year on record for events, with our teams representing Tradeglaze at trade shows across the region, conducting training sessions at builders’ merchants, and attending business events with Team Lincolnshire and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, both of which Tradeglaze is a member.

Tradeglaze is a proud Lincolnshire business, and we continue to support grassroots events and clubs that improve the well-being of our communities and celebrate local heritage. We remain sponsors of the Lindum Hockey Club, Red Lions Football Club, and have also this year started supporting Lincoln Moorlands Railway AFC. We collaborate with University of Lincoln – Lincoln International Business School students on consultancy projects to inspire the next generation.

As a Team Lincolnshire Ambassador, Tradeglaze supports the growth and prosperity of our county, working with other ambassadors to exchange knowledge and help develop strategies for our industry sectors.
