Wright Vigar name Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance as their charity of the year

Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) are saying a big thank you to all at Wright Vigar for naming them as Charity of the Year in support of its life-saving work.

When Wright Vigar were selecting their 2023 Charity of the Year, they wanted one which made a difference to people living across the East Midlands. Director of Wright Vigar and LNAA Trustee Jack O’Hern said, “We are delighted to be supporting Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. We often see the helicopter flying over our offices and around the two counties, never imagining that we might need it one day. As LNAA rely purely on donations to fund their life saving work, we are doing our bit to help keep it flying and building for the future.

Members of our team across our offices in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire will be raising funds through sponsored activities over the next twelve months to raise both funds and awareness for our air ambulance and critical care cars.”

Wright Vigar are an independent firm of Chartered Accountants with offices in Gainsborough, Lincoln, London, Mansfield Newark, Nottingham, Retford and Sleaford. Starting as a partnership, Wright Vigar have been providing accountancy and taxation services for over 40 years. During that time the practice has grown the number of offices and increased their extensive range of services and expertise to support private clients and businesses across all sectors. They provide a personal relationship-based service whilst having the expertise through the depth of their team to provide all the specialist services expected of a large practice.

To launch the partnership Wright Vigar are having a yellow day in their office, allowing their team to dress down and wear the colours of the charity. If you would like to support their fundraising efforts please head over to their JustGiving fundraising page and make a donation.

The firm will aim to raise £10,000 to support the charity by running several events throughout the year, such as their annual golf days and quiz nights and by challenging their team to get involved with LNAA challenge events.

Wright Vigar also offer every team member the opportunity to donate their time through their 3 paid charity days a year. It is hoped that the team will take advantage of these days to support the charity in activities such as supporting fundraising events or volunteering in their charity shops.

Head of Corporate, Fundraising and Events, Tanya Taylor said: “We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic support from all the team at Wright Vigar. No one wakes up thinking they will need the help of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, but with our crews on call 365 days of the year, our highly skilled doctors, paramedics and pilots are there to help people involved in life-threatening incidents every single day. The enhanced level of emergency care we deliver to patients at the scene, gives people with the most severe injuries and medical conditions the very best chance of survival.

This donation helps keep our helicopter in the sky and our critical care cars on the road, giving patients the best chance of survival, thank you so much!
